MLF

For almost 50 years, MLF Mittelständische Lebensmittel-Filialbetriebe e. V. Köln, as a union of modern owner-managed store chain enterprises, has been the forum for exchange of economical experiences between success-oriented, medium-size food retail enterprises. Approximately 100 multi-site enterprises in the federation are members of the forum at present.
The basis of its success is the performance-oriented cooperation with both the cooperative preliminary stages (Edeka, Rewe) and the privately owned chains (Markant, SPAR).
MLF’s objective is to improve operating results by intensive exchange of member experiences on enterprise practices and modern company management on the one hand, and on the other hand to stabilize the owner-managed food retail industry.
To enforce its political goals, MLF maintains a close cooperation with the Bundesverband des Deutschen Lebensmittelhandels e. V. (BVL), Bonn (Federal Association of German Food Service Trade).
