The new PRESTIGEenterprise 3.2

With the new PRESTIGEenterprise 3.2 release, Online Software has addressed current topics and once more extended noticeably the performance and functional range of its software package for advertising and active InStore marketing at the POS and POI.

PowerPoint-Add-In

The PowerPoint Add-In revolutionizes the previous possibilities for designing Instore TV-Programs. All professional effects with dynamic and static contents from Office PowerPoint 2010 can be used for customised designs and can then be integrated in PRESTIGEenterprise as playlist elements. After the design in PowerPoint, the contents of digital PoS advertising can be allocated to the output media with PRESTIGEenterprise, either to all screens in the store, to video screens or integrated shelf displays, but also to kiosk systems and scales displays.

The PowerPoint Add-In provides an additional opportunity to react quickly to current topics, without the need of a professional designer. Many employees have basic knowledge in PowerPoint and are able to design complete recorded slideshows including embedded videos and slide timing, apart from designing animations and slide transitions.

PRESTIGEenterprise Designer

With the PRESTIGEenterprise Designer, existing or new templates will become true eye-catchers. The web-based interface offers the features of usual design programs and additionally the possibility for individual editing, depending on the content and purpose of the template and taking into account the Corporate Design.

The following configurations are possible:

  • Copying existing templates, modification and saving as new templates
  • Changing field positions
  •  Modifying field sizes (image and text)


The PRESTIGEenterprise Designer enables the user to easily and quickly edit templates and to implement them promptly. This ensures that the contents are of the highest quality and constantly up-to-date, even when away on business or working from mobile devices or from home.

Scheduling

The new function for scheduling detaches the creation of playlists from the fixed transmission scheduling. This makes it possible to play the same playlist on several screens at the same or different transmission times. Similar to Microsoft Outlook, scheduled dates may be set as recurring dates and copying playlists several times becomes unnecessary. 

In particular, scheduling offers the following features:

  • defining time periods, start and end dates for the display of playlists
  • specifying recurring dates (serial elements)
  • retroactively modifying set date series
  • adding and removing screens for existing dates


This makes it easy to play the same playlist at 11.30 am each day on all displays in the entrance area. More complex repetition patterns are also possible: on Friday and on Saturday, playlists can be displayed which promote weekend shopping.

Server-Client Connection

The server-client connection is a new communication service and establishes a direct connection between the user interface PRESTIGEenterprise, the server and the various engines, which are installed behind printers and screens. This leads to a considerably faster transmission of changes and/or status and configuration updates.

Additionally, the server-client connection now also ensures the push mode for protected company networks, that is, contacting the server as required. So far, accessing changes was only possible in predetermined, regular intervals in pull mode. For example, while updating playlists on an hourly basis for broadcasting on the available screens.
