Eventhandler

With the help of an Eventhandler PRESTIGEenterprise transforms traditional customer marketing into effective and interactive instore marketing! The weighing at the scale becomes an event in itself. By entering the PLU (event) a predefined cross-selling content item will be activated by the Eventhandler and displayed. For instance, if you place an Old Amsterdam on the scale, after entering the PLU a compatible fig mustard will be suggested automatically.

Possible implementation scenarios

PRESTIGEenterprise’s server module „Live Info & E-Learning Center“ makes it possible to extend the traditional “transmission loop oriented” price and advertisement communications to more interactive information systems. The employee or the customer can access background information concerning service offerings via digital POS media, such as kiosks, touch scales, or price checkers in near real-time.

A) Providing information for the salesperson. Example electronic media store: Your customer would like to buy an LCD television and is asking about the latest consumer report test results and additional product features. After a quick barcode scan the server module “Live Information & E-Learning Center“ will provide your salesperson with important and up to date additional information about the product in question.

B) Providing information for the customer. Example wine specialty store: After briefly scanning a wine bottle at an information display right at the shelf, the sales price plus additional information appears, such as origin (e.g. organic wine), taste (e.g. dry wine, velvety finish, a hint of cherry flavor), and its use (e.g. goes well with game meat) – this will help the customer with his or her purchase decision.

Display and Touch Scale Usage Examples

You offer a new, valuable ham from Toscana at your service counter. Depending on the training of the salesperson, the customer is counseled at the point of purchase. With the „Live Info & E-Learning Center“ module every salesperson can call up centrally archived product information by pushing an additional-info button. The user display presents sales assisting arguments about production or maturity, in addition to legally required information such as origin and contents. Support the competence of your sales personnel with nutrition information, allergy information or recipes from the central PRESTIGEenterprise knowledge database.

Designing layouts centrally

As an employee in the central office you have the ability to design layouts for different information systems and store various additional information about items (text and images). When information is downloaded locally via an authenticated interface, layouts and any additional information regarding run time will be automatically linked with one another and will be available for display (in optimized HTML form) on the output device.

How it was until now (without this functionality)
Till now only the Display and PrintEngines were capable of displaying predefined information. The Live Info & E-Learning Center offers further authenticated partner systems the ability to use this added benefit.
